Who we are

EIO Studio is an independent creative house in Amsterdam. We design, direct, and produce work for a global audience. We believe privacy is a fundamental right, not a legal hurdle. If you have questions about how we handle the bare essentials, get in touch via our contact form below.

What we collect and why

We’re minimalists by choice. We only collect the data necessary to communicate and deliver our work.

• Inquiry Data: When you reach out to start a project, we collect your name, email, and the details of your request. We use this to talk to you. That’s it.

• Cookies & Analytics: We use cookies to understand how people find us, but we keep it anonymous. We’re looking at patterns, not tracking you. We configure our tools to respect your privacy and comply with GDPR. You can opt out of non-essential cookies as soon as you arrive.

• Client Records: If we work together, we’ll hold basic contact and project info for the duration of our engagement, plus a window afterward for Dutch tax and legal requirements..

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data. Ever.

• We don’t use your data for advertising or tracking.

• We don’t share your info unless it’s strictly necessary to do the work (e.g., a file-sharing or invoicing tool), and only with partners who meet GDPR standards.

The Legal Framework (GDPR)

Operating in the EU means we follow the GDPR strictly. We process data based on:

1. Legitimate Interest: Responding to an inquiry you started.

2. Contract: Managing an active project together.

3. Legal Obligation: Keeping records required by Dutch law.

4. Consent: For cookies or optional communications.

Data Retention

We don't hoard information.

• Inquiries we don’t pursue: Deleted within 12 months.

• Client & Financial records: Retained for 7 years (Dutch legal requirement).

• Analytics data: Typically 26 months or less.

Your rights

You own your data. Under GDPR, you can ask us to:

• Access, Correct, or Delete your information.

• Object to how we process it.

• Withdraw consent at any time.

Security & Updates

Security: We take technical measures to protect your info. No system is perfect, but we take this responsibility seriously.

Changes: We only update this policy if there’s a material reason to do so. The date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
